Electric Shield Installation

Model: Electric Shield (CR-05, CR-06)

Note: This shield can be powered by a vehicles DC battery or a snowmobiles AC electrical system.


1a. (Battery Installation) CONNECT THE RED WIRE OF BATTERY CORD TO THE OSITIVE "+" BATTERY TERMINAL. CONNECT THE BLACK WIRE OF BATTERY CORD TO THE NEGATIVE "-" BATTERY TERMINAL (SEE ILLUSTRATION)


1b. (AC power installation) HOOK UP TO ANY VEHICLES AC ACCESSORY POWER SOURCE OR DRAW POWER FROM HAND WARMERS, LIGHTING COIL, ETC.


2. PLUG THE BATTERY CORD INTO THE TEMPERATURE CONTROL UNIT OR DIRECTLY INTO THE SHIELD POWER CORD. NOTE: THE HJC ELEC-TRIC SHIELD CAN BE USED WITHOUT A TEMPERATURE CONTROL UNIT.


3. ATTACH THE STICKY SIDE OF THE "CORD HOLDER" TO THE LEFT LOWER SIDE OF THE HELMET.


4. CAREFULLY PLUG THE SHIELD CORD INTO THE ELECTRIC SHIELD JACK. ROUTE THE POWER CORD NEXT TO THE SHIELD SIDE PLATE AND INSERT THE CORD INTO THE "CORD HOLDER" PIVOT SCREW(SEE ILLUSTRATION).


5. ALWAYS UNPLUG THE POWER CORD AT DETACHABLE JACK AS IT IS MORE CONVENIENT.




1. DO NOT DISASSEMBLE or BEND THIS FACE SHIELD AS IT WILL DAMAGE THE SHIELD AND REDUCE OR ELIMINATE ITS ABILITY TO HEAT PROPERLY.

2. DO NOT USE POWER SOURCES ABOVE 15 VOLTS AS THIS MAY DAMAGE OR OVERHEAT THE SHIELD.

3. WHEN THE SHIELD IS NOT IN USE, STORE IT IN A DRY PLACE AWAY FROM DIRECT SUNLIGHT.

4. POWER CORD HOLDER MUST BE ATTACHED TO THE POSITION OF NOT HINDERING THE VISIBILITY.
